Customs
Arriving in the Czech Republic
Without permission foreign visitors are allowed to export goods from the Czech Republic for their personal use only or as a gift. If the exported goods require any special legal permission (e.g. protection of cultural monuments, objects of museum value etc.) they must be presented to customs officials on departure Leaving the Czech Republic
The export of items considered to have historical value is not allowed. To be exported, an antique or work of art must have an export certificate. Reputable shops should be willing to advise customers on how to comply with the regulations. Health Care
In case of an accident or sudden illness visitors from abroad can contact health centres, clinics and hospitals where they will be provided with medical care. Road rules
When you drive a car in the Czech Republic you are required to have with you:
- valid driving licence - the Czech Republic recognizes national driving licences of most countries
- vehicle registration document car insurance certificate (Green Card) for the period covering the use of the car on the territory of the Czech Republic.
